Winner of Women Inspirational Poetry Contest
When the Women Inspirational Poetry Contest reached out to let me know I’d won both First and Second Prize in their contest, I was in such a state of shock that I had a hard time believing the honor was real. Now, I can say only that I’m humbled and grateful.
Guest Post: Lipstick as Armor
Keira Knightly has been quoted as saying that lipstick is “an armor to the world.” She talks about how her Mom taught her that, no matter how bad a moment is or how awful a day has been, if you take the time to put on some lipstick, you’ll feel better. Knightly says that she “abides” by this advice.
