Several people have asked me to do a reading about the Trump administration assassinating Iran’s general, Soleimani, and the repercussions that are sure to follow. Bear in mind that this would be the equivalent of Iran coming over here and killing someone like General McChrystal. Middle East experts consider General Soleimani to be in second in power to Iran’s supreme leader.
I initially did a full-card spread regarding Trump and Iran and the first two cards that came out were the Queen of Wands crossed by the King of Cups. I always read Nancy Pelosi as the Queen of Wands and, in this spread, I interpret the King of Cups as representing our allies who think in a calmer, smarter way and who worry about consequences, much like the energy of the King of Cups. It wouldn’t surprise me if Nancy were talking to allied leaders, particularly those leading Western European countries, trying to counteract the shitestorm Trump just unleashed on us all. I can hear them discussing how best to handle the situation, trying to determine the different ways Iran could strike back, and developing strategies for how to handle each possibility.
The Hanged Man popped up in the foundation space of the spread, which usually represents someone going deep inside themselves to find truth. In this case, our sociopathic, unelected leader is such a baby soul that I read this card as Trump perhaps finally giving himself enough rope to hang himself.
In the recent past, we have The World and in the potential future space of the spread, we have The Sun. This makes sense because all of Trump’s life he’s gotten away with every kind of criminal action possible. He’s never once had to pay for any horror he’s created so, in his world, the sun is always shining on him. However, in the future spot, the Judgement card comes into play, indicating that Trump might finally have to pay some of what he’s created, both in his personal and political lives.
In how he’s feeling about things, the Justice card came up, which made me chuckle. In his deluded, tiny mind, Trump actually believes he’s doing what needs to be done to show his power and strength, when all he’s really doing is calling the energy of Justice down upon himself.
In the universal energies spot of the spread, The Devil appeared. This is Putin’s card, which verifies what I suspected – Putin told Trump to take out Soleimani. Putin is the king of chaos, so it tracks that he would manipulate one country into taking such a drastic action against another. I wouldn’t be surprised if he now pretends to be a supportive ally to Iran, further muddying the political waters and escalating the conflict between Iran and the U.S.
In Trump’s hope and fears spot of the spread, the Five of Wands came up, which tells me he’s still having a pity part for himself over the impeachment. He’s already made it clear he believes it to be a witch hunt and he’s angry that anyone could go after him, the “smartest” and “best” person in the world.
The final card of the spread was The Chariot. This tells me that no matter what Trump does, we collectively as a country are going to have to make some tough decisions if want to make positive change. Those of us who are able need to get more involved in local politics. We need to fight to keep the House and fight to take back the Senate. I’m still not getting a clear answer on whether or not we can get rid of Trump, but we can still do affect political and social change in our respective communities.
After finishing the full spread, I pulled some cards to see about the political scope of 2020, specifically Trump’s political future this year. The cards I pulled indicated that the rich and powerful are still in charge of what’s happening, and it will take every kind of trick, known magic, and extra hours of toil in an attempt to get rid of Trump. As the energy stands now, it’s an uphill battle for those of us who are against him.
I then pulled two cards to see how successful we can be in getting Trump out of office considering he has Putin’s support, now Saudi Arabia’s support, and the unwavering devotion of the GOP, who have a lovely track record of stealing elections. The two cards I pulled were the Seven of Cups and the Five of Cups. The Seven of Cups represents wishful thinking and the Five of Cups represents heartbreak. This doesn’t mean things cannot change between now and November, but we’re all going to have to do a lot of soul searching and a lot of hard work to turn this situation around. I pulled a card asking, “What should the American people know at this moment?” I pulled the Knight of Cups. This indicates that we all must be thinking about how to make changes for the better, always thinking about the highest good for everyone involved. I know this can sometimes be difficult because some don’t want help and others, like die-hard Trump supporters, are incapable of listening to the truth. You can still make positive changes without trying to change those incapable of doing so. Concentrate on uplifting and supporting the people you love and the people in your communities. Do what you can to help dismantle all forms of oppression. Take even small steps to counteract climate change. Basically, do whatever you can to make our country and our world better.
What do you think about what’s happening with Iran? With our country?
