For this latest reading, the first thing I looked at was the Democratic Primary and the race between Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. The card I pulled for Biden was the Six of Swords, which means he’s moving on to a different phase of his campaign.
I pulled the Three of Cups for Bernie, which means he’s still got reasons to stay in the race, I’m guessing primarily the backing of the Bernie-or-Bust contingent of his supporters.
I then pulled two more cards, one for each candidate. While Bernie’s card, the Four of Cups, is excellent, I pulled the King of Pentacles for Biden, which is a stronger card. This shows him as an authority figure in charge.
While there’s still time between now and June for the energy to change between the two candidates, as things stand now the energy is with Joe Biden.
I wanted to see how Biden would do against Trump, so I pulled these three cards for Biden: the Five of Swords, the Four of Pentacles, and the Eight of Cups.
These cards tell me that Biden will have to put up with non-stop snark from Trump, which I think (hope) he expects. However, the Four of Pentacles means that Biden will be outspent. I guess we’ll find out whether or not Bloomberg keeps his word about pouring all the money necessary into helping the Democratic candidate combat the wealth that Trump has from his supporters, including Putin. The Eight of Cups indicates that Biden will need to put away the standard political playbook and carve a new path if he wants to beat Trump.
The three cards I pulled for Trump are the Ten of Wands, The Star, and the King of Wands.
These cards say to me that whatever obstacles Trump faces, he will find ways to get past them. He’s still considered a star by the rabble that supports him and the majority of wealthy people who may not like him, but like what he does for their pocketbooks. The King of Wands indicates that Trump will do or say whatever it takes to stay in office. Because Trump got such a good reading, I asked how COVID-19 will impact his run for reelection and I pulled the Four of Wands, which indicates that no matter how poorly he manages the pandemic, he will still stand strong.
Speaking of the pandemic, I pulled three cards to see how the global community is handling COVID-19 and got the Page of Pentacles, the Ace of Cups, and the Three of Wands.
This tells me that the world at large has the resources necessary to create a vaccine and offer good news sooner versus later. We’re already seeing this happen in China, where a vaccine does not yet exist, but the country appears to be on the other side of the mass spread of COVID-19. The Three of Wands tells me that not only is the rest of the world handling this pandemic better than the U.S., but that other countries will likely work together to ensure better results in handling the pandemic.
Regarding the U.S. handling of COVID-19, I pulled The Hanged Man, the Seven of Cups inverted, and the Nine of Swords.
The Hanged Man indicates that not much progress is being made here in the States and, while there are some attempting to move forward and handle the crisis better than Trump and his administration is currently doing, the Nine of Swords tells me that much more horror is yet to come with the spread of COVID-19 in this country. I pulled another card to see how bad the death rate could be here in the U.S. and I got the Five of Cups, which suggests loss and heartbreak.
So, we need to be prepared to take of ourselves and each other by heeding guidelines to slow down the progression of the virus – practicing social distancing, staying home as much as possible, and properly washing our hands.
Based on this reading, I pulled another card to see if Trump can keep mishandling this crisis and still win his reelection and I got the Eight of Wands, followed by the Two of Cups.
This says that no matter what he does, Trump still has the upper hand against Biden in the general election. People can die en masse and he will still win in November.
Because I know many people believe Bernie Sanders can beat Trump over Biden, I pulled a card for Bernie against Trump and got the Four of Swords, which indicates that Trump would absolutely demolish Bernie in the general election.
As I always tell my clients, variables show up every second of every minute of every day. So, of course issues explored in these readings could change as we progress forward, but this is where the energy currently stands. If Democrats want to beat Trump, they must work harder than they’ve ever worked on any election in the history of our country. All of us must get our friends out to vote. Those of us who can afford to give money to Democratic candidates, including down-ballot candidates, must do so. In the meantime, take care of yourself and loved ones. I pulled one final card to see if the Universe has any message for us, and I got the King of Cups.
This says that no matter what those who follow Trump say or do, we must remain strong and focused, and act out of love and kindness. Remember that love and kindness are not indicators of weakness – it takes strength to stand against evil with an open heart. Here’s to things getting better over the next eight months.
