When I pulled out my cards, the card that popped out of the deck regarding my question about whether or not Parnas is telling the truth was the Justice card.
I didn’t even bother shuffling because I’ve always felt like he was telling the truth and the Justice card confirms my gut feelings on the matter. I watched Parnas’ interview with Rachel Maddow, prepared not believe him. But, in the end, he came off as truthful to me. The only time I felt like he was hedging the truth – but not lying – is when he said he didn’t think that Ambassador Yovanovich was in any danger. My spidey senses tell me that towards the end of the harassment towards Yovanovich, Parnas finally realized that all the talk in his circles about harming her wasn’t a joke. I don’t feel like he was doing anything to harm her, but Parnas finally realized something was amiss.
So, based on my spidey senses and my being shown the Justice card, I’m comfortable saying that everything Parnas is telling us about Trump and his criminal cronies is the truth.
As I was shuffling the cards, MSNBC broke the news that Parnas’ lawyers asked Bill Barr to recue himself and appoint a special prosecutor. Because I know Barr is a criminal and has been one since the days of Papa Bush, and because Parnas admitted to being a part of the “Trump cult,” we know that the law has broken and will continue to be broken. Instead of doing a past/present/future spread or a detailed Celtic-cross spread, I pulled four cards to show what’s happening with regard to Parnas, Bill Barr, and their role within the impeachment process. While shuffling, the King of Wands fell out.
Wands represent astrological fire signs, but none of the players we’re looking at are fire signs. However, wand cards also represent business endeavors, ambition, and desire for power. Considering the impeachment is occurring because of businesspeople involved in all aspects of criminality, I read the King of Wands as representing the foundational energy of everything happening.
The four cards I intentionally pulled were the Four of Pentacles, The Hanged Man, the Nine of Swords, and the Four of Cups.
These four cards tell me that shady dealings have occurred, and that someone has gone deep inside of themselves to determine their part in the process – this person is probably Lev Parnas. I think he’s actually scared for his wellbeing, as shown by the Nine of Swords. The final card, the Four of Cups, usually represents an unfulfilling situation. So, this tells me that everything Parnas is doing is at least in part to better position himself legally, considering he’s facing charges in New York’s Southern District.
I went ahead and pulled two more cards to see whether Barr might recuse himself and I got the Five of Wands and the Knight of Pentacles.
This indicates that for those who want Barr recused, there could be some rejoicing. However, with this criminal administration, don’t think for a second that everyone will do what’ right. After all, Trump did not win the 2016 election and yet here we are…
I shuffled again, asking, “Will the impeachment trial in the Senate be lawful?” and I got the Knight of Cups, which indicates that many senators will try to act ethically during the impeachment process.
I shuffled and pulled another card because I have major doubts about the ethics of Republican senators, and I got the Knight of Cups again. So, I guess we can watch the trial unfold, hoping for the best. I still don’t get a sense that Trump is going to be removed from office as an outcome of the impeachment trial, but I do feel that more information will come to light that might change people’s minds about Trump. To verify this, I pulled a final card, the Ace of Pentacles, which says that the impeachment trial will be conducted as legally as possible, but doesn’t preclude shenanigans from the Right, nor does it necessarily indicate Trump’s removal from office.
I’ll pull more cards during the trial to see what kind of energy surrounds the process.
